Description

Barrys Guesthouse is located in Witsand, a quaint village situated at the mouth of the Breede River, at the start of the Garden Route in the Western Cape. It is known for having the highest concentration of Southern Right Whales on the South African coast and offers 4 km of white sandy beaches, magnificent Cape fynbos, birdlife and a myriad of water sports - including kitesurfing, whale watching, fishing and canoeing.

Accommodation is available in a variety of unit types and includes a 3-sleeper self-catering cottage, a 4-sleeper Pansy Shell unit and 2 twin bedded units. All rooms are en suite and have their own private entrances, safe parking and free Wi-Fi access is available to all guests.

If you are a group of at least 6 guests staying a minimum of two nights then we can possibly give you exclusive use of the establishment.

The establishment has a communal kitchen, shared between just four rooms, a TV lounge with an Alexa smart speaker, and a spacious outside entertainment verandah with braai facilities. There is also a large garden that has kite surf kit cleaning and drying facilities. Hammocks are available so that you may sit back, relax, and enjoy the garden.

Safe off-road parking is available for boats and bikes as well.

Barrys Guesthouse is located a 10-minute walk to the river and nature reserve and less than 5 minutes drive to the ocean and restaurants.
