Description

Basangoma Game Ranch is situated between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg.

This privately owned Game Ranch is malaria free and blessed with a temperate climate all year round.

Basangoma Game Ranch offers a comfortable 2-bedroom chalet with spectacular views of the surrounding bush and mountains from both the covered patios as well as the open-plan kitchen and lounge.

The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. Each bedroom has its own sliding door and patio, giving access to the outdoors. Both bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, fitted with either a shower only, or a bath and a shower. Bedding and bath towels are supplied. Please bring your own swimming towels.

The open-plan kitchen and lounge are fully equipped for self-catering and include all crockery, utensils, pots, and pans. There is a 4-burner gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, airfryer and fridge-freezer. Dishwashing liquid and dishcloths are provided.

There's a TV and a DVD player in the lounge, as well as a fireplace, and wood is supplied. The outside patio has a comfortable built-in braai.

The chalet has Eskom electricity but in case of bad weather conditions or problems with the Eskom power supply, candles are provided and guests are encouraged to bring along their own flashlights or camping lights is encouraged.

There are over 20 Antelope species to be found on the property, large and small. These include Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Black Wildebeest, Oryx, Bushbuck, Blesbuck, Mountain and Common Reedbuck, Hartebeest, Duiker, Steenbuck, Impala, Spring buck (Normal and Black), Nyala, Bushpig ect.

This area boasts over 200 bird species. These include raptors such as Snake Eagles, Buzzards and Secretary Birds as well as numerous different Kingfishers, Hornbills and Sunbirds.
