Description

Basil's Boma caters for guests seeking a restful, non-commercialised atmosphere away from the noisy life. It boasts comfortable, eco-friendly self-catering accommodation in a quiet, tranquil, setting, with warm hospitality and restful views of the bush and mountains.

Basil's Boma is intentionally out of the way, on the Witwatersberg Mountain Range overlooking the Skeerpoort Valley and the Magaliesburg Mountain Range. It is 15 minutes from Hartbeespoort Dam, 1 hour's drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Accommodation is offered in 2 units. The Rustic Potter's Shed accommodates up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. The main room with queen-sized bed en- suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet, a separate toilet and basin. The second room offers 2 single beds. It also features an open-plan lounge with large comfy couch and two large ottomans, fire place, dining and kitchen area.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, crockery, cutlery, glasses, and a 2-plate gas cooker. Spacious outdoor living areas boast a fire pit, braai area, large double lounger with comfy cushions, small outdoor table and chairs, cold water plunge pool. An all-season outdoor shower adds to this beautiful bush and mountain views.

The Luxury Bush Chalet comprises a large room with king-sized four-poster bed, couch and two chairs, Jetmaster fire place, folding and sliding doors opening out onto a large wooden deck with 180-degree bush views. It also features an en-suite bathroom with shower, a private cold water splash pool to the east of the room. The large wooden deck boasts a large dining table and chairs, two loungers, extra table and chairs, your own private bush kitchen, thatched bar and a private boma area.

Both units have their own private braai area and on-site parking is provided.

Couples massage therapy is available as an optional extra at each unit - weather permitting out on the deck at the Bush Chalet or near the pools, in the bush or indoors near the fire place on chilly days - by prior arrangement.

Do nothing but rest, revive, reconnect, enjoy nature - birding, walking, reading.
