Description
Blackwaters River Lodge is a country lodge situated on the banks of the Goukamma river, surrounded by indigenous forests. This magical piece of paradise is centrally and conveniently situated on the N2 between the quaint towns of Knysna and Sedgefield; and is less than 10 km away from Buffalo Bay, one of South Africa’s Blue Flag beaches.
Accommodation is available in 19 guest suites which are able to accommodate 2 adults, and are each individually styled and furnished. Each room contains an en-suite bathroom, an electric blanket, a heater and ceiling fan, a flat screen TV with selected DStv channels, a hairdryer, a bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Free Wi-Fi access is also provided.
Blackwaters River Lodge offers activities and facilities such as a Par 3 golf course, canoeing and stand-up paddling on the river. Freshly made meals can be enjoyed in the Earth & Fire Dining Facility. Other things to enjoy are river picnics and wine tastings; and the area is a bird lovers paradise, where you can experience the Knysna turaco in its natural environment.
