Truly enjoyed our short stay Bloemhof Karoo.

Staff extremely friendly/courteous. No issues with pets and we were lucky to experience a thunderstorm during our stay.

We did an overnight stay on our way back to JHB from the coast.

We felt the property was dated, in need of maintenance and cleaning, and the food was very disappointing. The location is exactly halfway between Cape Town and Johannesburg and very convenient.

Jy mis iets baie spesiaal as jy nie hier oorbly nie! Dit was regtig vir ons 'n groot "wow" gewees! 'n Tweede aand sou eintlik beter gewees het.

I would really like to spend more time on the farm. One night is not enough. From the moment we turned off the N1 until we left the next morning it was just great. The atmosphere, hospitality, food (ate too much), room and bathroom and simply the whole house was a really good experience plus the short game drive. We were further spoiled with the arrival of the owner on the farm. The staff are very good and make you feel very at home and relaxed. We will definitely go there again but definitely for a minimum of two days. The landscape is picturesque.

Elegantly furnished and comfortable, restful and nurturing overnight stop on farm very close to N1, delicious food, attentive staff, warm hospitality, will visit again.

This elegantly furnished and very comfortable guest house, on a farm formerly owned by Chris Barnard, and conveniently situated a few km off the N1, about 25 km south of Richmond, provided a most restful and nurturing overnight stop on a long journey through the Karoo. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and paid great attention to detail ensuring that guests were made comfortable. When I arrived, shortly after dark, a vehicle was sent to meet me to see me safely to the homestead. Inside there was an open fire in the lounge, and duty manager Martha and her team had cooked a delicious 3-course dinner. Breakfast was equally tasty. There is an interesting library of books about the Karoo, the Boer War, and much more which owner Jenny has collected over the past 20 years. If you have time, you could sit and read these quietly on the well-furnished wrap-around stoep, while drinking an extra cup of coffee. I enjoyed the visit to Bloemhof Karoo so much I did not want to leave! Thanks to Jenny, Martha, Steven and team for their hospitality and care. I hope to be back again.

Wonderlike diens in 'n asemrowende ligging!

Ek sal Bloemhof aan almal aanbeveel wat die prag van die Karoo wil beleef. Die diens van die personeel by Bloemhof was uitstekend en ek was regtig bederf.
