Description

Situated at the foot of the Langeberg mountains, off the R60 between Ashton and Swellendam, Bonfrutti offers a wholesome taste of farm life, fresh air and water from a mountain stream all year round.

Bonfrutti farmhouse and cottages are situated in a tranquil setting on a fruit and wine farm. There are 4 self-catering units.

The farm has more than enough space to enjoy long hikes or easy walks through the orchards or along sheep paths and dirt tracks. Bring along mountain bikes, swim in the farm dams or enjoy fishing bass. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

Several varieties of fruits are produced. The season starts with apricots in mid-November and then peaches in December. Fresh fruit can be bought from the farm stall in season. Grapes are delivered to Bonnievale Cellar which is a member of the Robertson Wine Valley. Grapes are harvested from mid-February until the end of March. Bonfrutti is approximately 180 km from Cape Town and forms part of the Heart of Route 62. The nearest towns are Swellendam which is 30 km away, Robertson 35 km, Montagu 25 km, Bonnievale 20 km and Ashton which is 17 km away.
