Description
Bontebokskloof Manor is a beautiful Cape Dutch-style farmhouse offering self-catering accommodation on a farm located 17 km outside Swellendam. This working farm grows lucerne, canola, and wheat, resulting in lovely mauves, yellows, and greens as the seasons progress.
This tastefully furnished farmhouse comprises 5 bedrooms and can accommodate 11 adults with 4 children, making it ideal for families. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and its en-suite bathroom has a shower. The adjoining second bedroom has 2 single beds. The third bedroom contains a queen-size bed and makes use of a separate bathroom fitted with a bath and shower. The fourth and fifth bedrooms are furnished with 3 single beds and 2 single beds, respectively. An entertainment area functions as a bedroom for children under the age of 16 and has 4 single beds. The remaining bedrooms share the use of a separate bathroom fitted with a bath and shower. Linen and towels are provided for guests' convenience.
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Like most old farmhouses, the kitchen and adjacent braai area form the heart of this home and families can enjoy meals together at the 14-seater dining table in the kitchen. In the lounge, guests can relax in front of the fireplace while enjoying a movie or curling up with a good book. The entertainment room boasts a table tennis table, TV, and board games to keep kids entertained.
The house opens onto a patio with a built-in braai area which leads to a swimming pool with sun loungers where guests can unwind while taking in the magnificent views of the Langeberg mountains. Guests are welcome to explore the farm on foot and mountain bike, or simply enjoy a picnic at Milkwood Grove.
