Gosh, what a gorgeous little hidden gem this place is! Although my travel is generally always business-related, I always try to find spots that I might want to return to in my personal capacity, and Booiskraal Farmstay definitely fits the bill. proactively got in touch prior to my arrival to make sure that I knew where the farm was (off the beaten track) and to offer me an upgrade simply because the cottage was available. The cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and I got the distinct impression that if there isn't something, the hosts will do their level best to provide it on request. With a beautiful view of a typical Karoo mountain, and ample seating space outdoors, as well as a small well-maintained, fenced-off garden to braai in or just enjoy the view with a glass of wine, the cottage was exactly what I needed after a few very hectic weeks of travel and deadlines. Peaceful, completely dark at night, perfectly safe and so quiet you can hear yourself think, I will definitely return if I happen to be going that way again. It was excellent, extremely friendly people and a beautiful place.

The stay was amazing. I would definitely have stayed for longer if I'd known what I know now. Very friendly and nice people to meet. Andrew and his family are amazing people. Loved the stay there. Just be prepared for a long dirt road to get there.
