Braeview is situated in Westcliff, a very old and tranquil suburb of Hermanus with just about zero traffic and noise polution. Hermanus is world famous for land based whale watching from the cliffs at the sea and the cliff path for this purpose is 150 metres from Braeview from where it stretches 8 Km along the coast past the centre of town. The guesthouse is a 10 minutes walk from the New Harbour where you will find 3 restaurants and fishermen on the harbour wall trying to lure a few crayfish to their nets for an evening meal. Enjoy a 10 minute tuk-tuk cab drive to town for a wide choice of restaurants, coffee shops, general shopping, museums and other activities. A guided sea kayak trip for the whole family on a quiet day is an absolutely wonderful experience. Sunset cruises depart from the New Harbour and can be arranged by Braeview management. Shark cage diving is also very popular for adventurous people wanting a closer experience with the great white monsters. However, if you have a quiet, peaceful stay in mind the right choice would be to relax in the garden with a book or magazine.
