Description

A green oasis, nestled into the hard, apricot coloured canyon-landscape, Canyon Lodge offers guests a moment of quiet peace from the bustle of daily routine. A turn around a final bend brings the sight of the century-old Farmhouse that hosts the reception. The old farmhouse is laced with lush green and bougainvillaea flowers, overlooking a cool pond on one side and a lovely stretch of terrace on the other.

Each chalet is uniquely constructed into the surrounding boulders and landscapes, bring the outdoors environment into the chalet interior. And while the pool is a short walk from the main guest areas, a visit promises unobstructed views of the landscape.

The iconic Fish River Canyon lookout point is a short 10km from the lodge and guided excursions are available to guests. Beyond that, nature drives into the protected Nature Park – Gondwana Canyon Park – which offers access to the unique setting of the area. Sights include indigenous flora, as well as various wildlife including oryx, zebra and giraffe.

The lodge sources most of its electricity needs from the Solar panels on site. And all used water is recycled and repurposed to keep the oasis lush and green.
