A tranquil mountain hideaway, within the lush, rolling hills of KwaZulu-Natal lie the beautiful and luxurious chalets of Castleburn. The spiralling peaks of the Southern Drakensberg are a place of exquisite beauty and tranquillity. In the comfort of your room, enjoy cosy log fires and sweeping views over Lake Madingofani where eland, reedbuck and many exotic bird species make their homes.

Self-catering accommodation is offered in 1- or 2-bedroom loft apartments, and 3 bedroom chalets. Each loft and chalet has its own fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area, as well as its own balcony or patio with a braai facility.

The swimming pool, although not heated, provides many beautiful views during those hot summer months.

The on-site Lakeview Restaurant provides the perfect family dining experience. The restaurant offers a full a la carte menu of delicious wholesome meals. The Creel Bar, situated next to the restaurant, and overlooking Rhino Peak, there is no better place to enjoy a drink, or watch your favourite sport on TV. Wireless internet connectivity is available in the bar and restaurant.

The Recreational Centre provides patrons with arcade games, darts, table tennis and pool table. The giant outdoor chess board provides many hours of fun for the whole family. For the more active at heart there is fly-fishing, hiking, horse riding, kayaking, and putt-putt mini-golf.
