Description

The Cederberg Bunkhouse offers comfortable barn-stay accommodation on a farm that cultivates organic rooibos tea. The farm borders on the Cederberg Mountain Reserve world-renowned for rocklands bouldering. This is the ideal getaway for a romantic weekend, or as a base for rock climbers, bird watchers, flower seekers, or those exploring the area. Guests can bring their rods and go fishing in the dam.

Accommodation is offered in a guest apartment located on the southeast corner of a renovated sandstone barn, with raw stone walls, and white wooden ceilings lit with down lighting. The apartment can accommodate 2 guests and contains a queen-size bed and an open-plan shower en suite with a washbasin, and an enclosed toilet. The room has a small table and chairs, and a kitchenette that is equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a prep sink, crockery, and cutlery. Parking is available alongside the barn. The barn apartment has a southern-facing window overlooking the Cederberg Reserve and an eastern-facing window overlooking farm property.

Guests will have access through the farmhouse garden to a swimming pool as well as a poolside Lapa which has a view of the farm dam. The Lapa and pool are 100 steps away from your barn apartment. It has a built-in fireplace for the essential braai. The Lapa is equipped with a larger combination fridge-freezer, a camping gas stove and all the essentials crockery and cutlery you would need.

The Cederberg Bunkhouse is 25 km from Clanwilliam town on the R364, and is surrounded by wine and olive estate farms. There is also a cafe just 10 km down the road.

It is extremely safe as there are cameras and sensor lights on the property.
