Old-world charm with a relaxing atmosphere and best part, walking distance to main attractions.

I am always on the hunt for a bargain and if I decide I want to do something now, I want to do it! Central Hotel was all that I imagined it to be and the pictures on the website are exactly as it is. Een driedaagse stay in Simon´s Town.

Een verrassend oud hotel uit de tijd van de Belle epoque. De ligging is aan een drukke doorgaans/ en bestemmingsweg naar Kaap de Goede hoop voor de toerist en de zakelijke bewoner van dit plaatsje,.... de Navy. De Zuidafrikaanse oorlogsbodems liggen op zichtsafstand vanuit je ruim terras op de eerste verdieping. Leuk voor de liefhebber. In de ochtenduren vanaf 07.00 uur wordt het erg druk met de aankomst van deze Navy mensen. Dus betrekkelijk veel lawaai. De enige oplossing is dan ook vroeg opstaan en naar je terras, om daar ongevraagd in dit vroege uur, koffie geschonken te krijgen van de zeer vriendelijke bediening. Zoals gezegd een heel oud hotel, waar je geen Europese standaarden aan moet geven, maar nemen zoals het is!! Een echt leuke ervaring. Onze buren waren Zuidafrikanen. Jonge mensen die in opleiding waren bij de Navy! Ook dit een heel positieve ervaring om met deze jonge Zuidafrikanen kennis te maken en te ontbijten. Aan te bevelen voor toeristen die een relatie hebben met de Marine en-of het leger. Zeker voor ons een reden om dit oude hotel met zijn sfeer terug te bezoeken.
