Pragtige stylvolle hotel in die hartjie van Stellenbosch.

Was nog elke keer só lekker om by Coopmanshuijs te bly. Personeel laat mens werklik welkom en tuis voel. Kamers is pragtig gemeubileer en om op die stoep middagete of aandete te eet, is ideaal! Dan beleef mens werklik die ‘vibe’ van Stellenbosch.

Gorgeous old building and lovely staff, but our room was a real let-down.

The windows from our room opened up into a little alleyway beside the neighboring restaurant. I could have lived with the view of cabbage heads and mops and buckets, but the noise of their generator and staff having a boisterous chat session from 06:00 (which would have made a New Delhi marketplace seem tranquil) was pushing it a bit far. I have absolutely no idea how the above can be described as '5 star luxury' and how they can let this room at all. I complained to the manageress and received a small discount. The gesture was appreciated, but I was still charged over two thousand rand for the honor of sleeping kitchen-alley-adjacent and left Coopmanhuijs wishing I'd just stayed at home. A very big let-down for our early Valentines' trip and I'm sure this is not the first complaint that they've had about this room.
