Description

Daberas Guest Farm is located in the Lower Orange River Valley, also known as the Lost Valley of Precious Stones, and offers guests self-catering accommodation with scenic viewpoints of the valley which is framed by the 1000 m Nama Plateau.

Guests have a choice of booking the 5-sleeper Cape Ebony Lodge and the 4-sleeper Star Tree Lodge, both of which feature a low energy cooling system that maintains a comfortable temperature in summer.

Cape Ebony Lodge comprises 2 luxury rooms, that are furnished with a queen-size bed and single beds, and have en-suite bathrooms that are fitted with showers, and also offers an outdoor shower and a bath. The fully equipped kitchen has a separate entrance leading from the verandah and is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, and oven. The lodge is equipped with solar lights and gas for heating and cooking. Please note, this unit does not have a swimming pool.

Star Tree Lodge comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge. The bedrooms are furnished with a queen-size bed and single beds, and the bathrooms are fitted with showers and baths. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, and oven, and guests can relax in the lounge. The lodge opens onto a verandah that overlooks the firepit and the private swimming pool. Renewable energy is used for the cooling system, refrigeration and lighting, while gas is provided for heating and cooking.

Braai facilities and secure parking are available at Cape Ebony Lodge and the Star Tree Lodge. Daberas Guest Farm can be reached with a normal vehicle, but vehicles with a low ground clearance must please enquire about the condition of the road. 4x4 Vehicles are however required to explore the viewpoints and the 4x4 routes.

Guided tours can be booked to explore the spectacular desert landscape, and the entrance gate to the Augrabies Falls National Park is roughly 50 km from the farm.
