The Dakota Lodge is conveniently situated at the beautiful, historic Rand Airport, and features a historic aviation theme with a beautiful view, from the Johannesburg downtown area in the west, to the Suikerbosrand in the south. The lodge's aviation theme is specifically to honour the venerable Douglas DC-3, Dakota.

Dakota Lodge offers 24 en-suite rooms, with a choice of Executive Suites, Double or Twin Rooms. Each room features adjustable air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV with selected satellite channels, a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a kettle, and a telephone with a direct line. The rooms are cleaned daily.

Dakota Lodge is a fully licenced establishment and offers a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. During your stay feel free to visit Flippies Cockpit cocktail bar and enjoy the highveld sunset on our deck overlooking Rand Airport runway.

The lodge also features a 24-hour reception desk, a business station with printing, fax, scanning and email services, Wi-Fi internet access, laundry services, a moderately equipped gym, and a coffee lounge. Shuttle services, and scenic flights can be arranged. The lodge is situated in an access controlled security complex, and parking vouchers are available at the reception.

The lodge can host conferences or small functions for 10 to 50 delegates in their smaller venue overlooking the Rand Airport runway. Weddings and large functions for 80 to 500 guests can be held in the 2000-square metre hangar with the historic planes as a backdrop.
