De Hoop Opstal Suites offers comfortable accommodation in 12 suites, situated in the beautiful De Hoop Nature Reserve. The Opstal area is a central base from which to explore the reserve; The Fig Tree Restaurant can be found here, and is open all day. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals prepared using locally sourced produce. Guests can either drive, hike or cycle to may of the interesting locations in the reserve.

Each suite is tastefully decorated has an en-suite bathroom. Some of the suites have fireplaces for those chilly evenings, as well as seating areas. Meals are included on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

There are 4 Cloete Suites which are situated within close proximity to The Fig Tree Restaurant. Two of the suites have a view of the grasslands where bontebok, eland and mountain zebra can be seen grazing. The other 2 Cloete Suites have a view of the old majestic fig trees in the courtyard. Dassie Suite offers a fabulous view of the vlei, and is perfectly positioned to view the bird life and majestic sunsets from the verandah. Fig Tree Suite is set in the courtyard with its magnificent wild fig trees. The 3 Otter Suites are positioned close to the serene De Hoop vlei, where guests can wake up to the sound of the birds and the chance of otter sightings. Stable Suite is also situated in the courtyard and the Vlei Suite offers a fantastic view of the vlei.

Cloete Cottage is situated between the Fig Tree and Cloete Suites; this is a private suite, a short walk away from the Fig Tree Restaurant.

De Hoop Nature Reserve offers sea, sand dunes, the vlei, a floral sensation of rare fynbos plants, diverse antelope, and the Potberg mountains. Birders can observe wading birds on the shores of the vlei, while the Potberg mountains are home to a colony of endangered Cape vultures. Hikers and cyclists can enjoy close-up encounters with bontebok, Cape mountain zebra, eland, baboons, and ostrich. Guests can choose between various day walks through the rich fynbos plains or along the deserted coastline, mountain biking along the many gravel roads or scenic game drives. Lazing on the beach and snorkelling in the turquoise rock pools is another activity guests can enjoy. There is a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a boules courtyard.
