Description
Die Opstalletjie is a double-storey self-catering house situated on the Witsand main beach. The house has rustic charm with beautiful views of the Breede River and Witsand beach. The house is best suited to guests looking for a comfortable getaway who can do without all the comforts of a brand new well-equipped family home.
The house can accommodate 8 guests, and comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 of which open onto the dunes. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and there are 2 guest bathrooms, 1 with a bath and another with a shower. There is an outside hot and cold shower for rinsing off after a lazy day on the beach. There are 2 bedrooms with a double bed in each and 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each.
The upstairs living area has an indoor braai fireplace for those cold winter days. The house comes with bedding, cutlery, and a dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, oven and stove, and microwave. A daily house-cleaning service can be arranged. The house is equipped with a satellite dish and flat-screen TV, although at the moment DStv and SABC are not included. Guests can bring their own DStv decoder and smart card for DStv access.
This home is built on a stand-alone plot surrounded by dunes and dune vegetation. This is beach living, just open the bedroom door onto the beach. The Breede River hosts 3 lovely pubs up the river for cruises and is home to some of the best estuary fishing in South Africa.
