Disappointing stay. No WiFi and broken door and frying pan handle.

Disappointing to arrive to find the door would not open. Then there was no Wi-Fi at all! When we went to cook breakfast, the frying pan had no handle and we had to call the owner again - after day two we requested the door be fixed as we had difficulty in opening it at all. Not a pleasant stay.

Disappointing but not all due to host.

Hot temperatures reaching 41°. Without the air con we would not have been able to stay. Thank you for that. Although decor was pleasing the place was neglected, too many cobwebs and dusty. The bedding and towels were clean. Kitchen equipment was limited; no bread knife, bottle opener, corkscrew. The shower could not be regulated! Either cold or scalding hot, fortunately because of the hot weather cold showers were not too bad. The couple next door had the same problem. Johnny, the maintenance chap came to unblock the shower drain but was unable to sort out the water regulator. Maybe okay for a weekend but not a long stay.

Hallo Sharon, thank you for the feedback. This time of the year, the South Eastern-wind, well known to everybody, is blowing. We are situated on a farm, and after harvesting, the field is barren and you will have dust. My cleaning team actually did clean the unit the day before, again, and also, without any extra cost, came in to clean your unit and provide new bedding and clean towels. Johny did mention to us that there was some dog's hair in your shower, and that maybe was part of the reason why your shower clotted. You had your dog with you and we actually do not allow dogs, but we did give you special permission to bring your dog along. When writing a review, I always think it would be good to point out things you feel one could better, but key is to mention the extras your host did for you that was not part of the obvious. There is also a bottle opener for beer bottles, but not a corkskrew, because most wine bottle nowadays does not have corks anymore but screw caps. Sorry for not catering for the corkscrews. Wilinda made sure that we were happy. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk and even rusks were provided.

My husband and I enjoyed the long walks on the farm. We will definitely be coming back.

A stunning location, beautifully furnished and very comfortable.

I loved the farm atmosphere. I loved the wide open spaces and fresh farm air along with the luxurious accommodation. The host was very friendly and helpful, she even invited me to help feed the lambs, what a unique experience.

On the porch outside we had a table and chairs as well as a braai drum to braai in. Remember to bring your own wood if you want to barbecue, it is not provided. There was milk in the fridge as well as ice which was nice. Maybe the hostess can stick the WiFi number on the fridge, like most guest houses do, because no one gave us the WiFi code. Oorslaap na 'n besigheidsfunksie laatmiddag in Moorreesburg.
