Description
Die Wit Hangmat is on a woodland farm in the picturesque Leeuwkloof Valley, just under an hour's drive from Pretoria. It is the ideal place for a family or group of friends looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property has solar power and is not affected by load shedding.
Accommodation is offered in 3 comfortable units each with an en-suite bathroom. The first unit comprises a king-size bed and a child-only bed with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet, shower and bath. The second unit comprises a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet and shower. The third unit comprises of a double bed and en-suite bathroom with a toilet and shower. There is a double sleeper couch in the living area. Alle linne en handdoeke word voorsien.
There is a Lapa with braai and cooking facilities which include a two-plate stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, tea and coffee-making facilities, cutlery, crockery and a gas braai. Ice and wood are included in the rates and are provided.
Guests have exclusive access to a heated jacuzzi with a view of the woodland and sunset. Guests can also enjoy swimming, cycling, hiking and bird watching on site. There is a games room with a pool table, table tennis and dart board.
This piece of woodland is surrounded by the Leeuwkloofpark Private Nature Reserve and so guests can expect to see various species of wildlife. Game drives are not offered, but guests can freely walk or cycle and also stop at the various picnic spots in the field. Here you can still hear night owls, foxes, hyenas and even lions.
Dinokeng is 25 km away and guests can visit it themselves or a game drive in Dinokeng can be arranged on request. There are 4x4 routes, picnic areas and the Big 5. The town of Cullinan is also nearby where there are shops and restaurants.
A small pet is only allowed if prior arrangements are made with the owner. This is subject to strict conditions and the puppy must sleep on its own bed and not on the property's beds or sofas. Adequate precautions against ticks must also be taken in advance and pets must be kept on a leash at all times as this is a wilderness area.
