Description

Dolittle Cottages offers self-catering cottage accommodation in the peaceful country town of Swellendam for those who love country living and have a love of animals. There are friendly resident donkeys and a sheep that will greet you, and free-roaming chickens that may pop by. To top things off when in season our 3 towering pecan nut trees will drop their gifts for you to pick up and enjoy.

Accommodation is offered in 2 cottages, Dolittle and Doless Cottages, that can each sleep 6 guests. Each cottage contains 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and lounge, that opens to a sheltered patio with braai facilities.

Each Cottage has an alarm and parking is behind a security gate, with electrified fencing around the perimeter with a wooden fence as barrier. Guests have access to a fenced splash pool to cool off anytime surrounded by a grass area for kids to play on.

We offer a laundry service at an additional cost per load from Monday to Friday by previous arrangement. Crockery, cutlery, bedding and bath towels are provided.

The property is equipped with a generator in case of load shedding. Someone is always available either on the premises or on call if there's anything you need that isn't provided.

We'll make sure there is coffee, tea, sugar and milk when you arrive and that the ice trays are full. There will also be enough wood for your first braai on us.
