Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve 108 offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a 4-bedroom house, situated on its own 1-hectare plot within the Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve. The reserve is located 33 km from the town of Carolina and 37 from Machadodorp.
The house offers beautiful views all around, and tranquillity It comprises 4 en-suite bedrooms with a king-size bed in 2 bedrooms and three-quarter beds in the other 2 bedrooms. Each en-suite bathroom is fitted with a corner bath, basin, toilet and shower.
The house comprises an open-plan kitchen and dining area, a lounge, and a covered outdoor patio with braai facilities. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge-freezer, bar fridge, oven and stove, microwave, ice maker, iron, coffee plunger and kettle. There is also a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The open-plan dining room seats 10 people and also has a Dovre fireplace. There is a TV with optional DStv. Both the dining room and lounge are fitted with Dovre closed combustion fireplaces that replaces the open ones. Guests can bring their own firewood or buy wood from reception. Satellite Wi-Fi with a 24/7 battery backup can provide uninterrupted connectivity.
Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve has 10 trout fishing dams, two swimming pools, (not heated), a tennis court, and a children's play area. There are various hiking and mountain bike trails as well as 4x4 tracks and an abundance of wildlife.
