Beautiful city escape.

This is a home with a beautiful view. Perfect for a large family bonding getaway. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. Perfect place to relax with a stack of books.

Die ligging is perfek. Huis is lekker ruim.

Waarde vir geld - sou voorstel dat hulle dalk soos baie ander plekke 'n wasmasjien insit. As mens meer as 3 dae bespreek raak dit moeilik met kinders as mens nie 'n paar goedjies kan was nie. Ook dalk kyk na die hoeveelheid kussings per bed, een kussing per persoon is bietjie min. Veral as die kussings plat gelê is. Ook net 'n voorstel, om spaar handdoeke in 'n kas te hê, aangesien daar nie 'n wasmasjien is nie, maak dit dit moeilik om van 'n Donderdag tot 'n Maandag dieselfde handdoek te gebruik. Net 'n paar voorstelle. Verder is dit 'n baie aangename huis. Ook sou ons voorstel dat julle net noem dat die die woonstel onder bewoon is, aangesien dit nêrens aangedui is nie, en toe ons daar kom dit eers uitgevind het. Nie dat dit 'n probleem is nie, maar dit was net vreemd om uit te klim en hier staan iemand in die oprit.

Lovely location with excellent view. The accommodation was very comfortable.

A few aspects of the house could have been a bit better when it comes to cleanliness.

Teleurgesteld dat die swembad nie skoon was nie, aangesien die kinders baie uitgesien het om te swem. Die swembad was een van die hoofredes hoekom ons die huis bespreek het.

The holiday was terrible. The website failed to mention that there is someone living on the property. The old lady complained everyday we were there.

Sanelle, the lady we got the keys from, threatened us. I will not recommend Driftwood to anyone.

The house is spacious and catered for our basic getaway needs with stunning world class view. Our stay was just average, however there were some items which can easily be resolved to have made our stay an excellent stay.

For the R5300 per night, we felt that these items should be attended to. Doors and locks need to be frequently lubricated. The front door lock was a problem and jammed. The laundry room door needs attention. Pillows need to be replaced with high-quality pillows as all pillows were thin and gave a sore neck for 3 days. There is no point in having a great house with a stunning view with terrible pillows. It can ruin your entire stay and sleep as it has done with mine. The mattresses were all 100% ok and comfortable. Tea kettle was leaking and we had to use a pot for 6 days to boil water for tea and coffee. This home needs a good cleaning in terms of crockery - plates and some cups were yellow inside with old tea stains. A tumble dryer is required as we had 5 nights of stay and needed to do our laundry. we had to hang clothing on the front doorstop to allow for drying. We know that owners have no control of the weather, however a heater in your room would make the guest stay a bit more pleasant. The house is extremely cold to stay in and extra blankets can help. We would certainly recommend this home providing the items we have mentioned is attended to. If these items are sorted we believe Driftwood can be an excellent place to stay.

Loved it so much. Everything was absolutely divine.

Exceptional view and space for our party of eight people. Spacious and well furnished to allow us to rest and to enjoy the stay without being in each others way.

We had problems in two bedrooms and the bottom floor area (carpet specifically) with what we believed to be sand flees. Three people were badly bitten. We also had to request the agent to empty the septic tank twice due to a persistent bad smell in the single room (and bathroom) downstairs including the kitchen. Seems to be worse depending on the wind direction.

Our stay was very pleasant and the view was amazing.

Overall the house had everything you needed. It was spacious and bedding was clean. I would suggest however that they have towels for their guests. We also found that some of the cutlery and crockery were not properly cleaned. The house should be cleaned more thoroughly.
