Description
Albert and Thereza du Toit welcome you to Du Vlei. Experience the unique, warm hospitality of farmers in the heart of the Swartland. Du Vlei is situated 7 km from the picturesque Riebeek-Kasteel, on the bank of the Berg River.
The big original farmhouse, dating back to 1704, was renovated into 4 spacious, fully equipped, self-catering units with shower bathrooms. The kitchen in each of these 4 units is fully equipped. Each unit also offers a living area and Viognier, Pinotage & Shiraz have TV's with 18 Open View Channels. Pinotage & Shiraz have 2 bathrooms each.
The old wine cellar, harness-, mill- and milk rooms were renovated into luxurious guest rooms. There is a bar fridge and coffee-making facilities in each room. Guests also have access to the small communal kitchen.
Outside, guests can relax on the veranda and experience the breathtaking views of the mountains, the Berg River, and the vineyards with the awesome sound of fish eagles crying in the background. All this whilst your children enjoy the huge garden with expansive lawns to play on and a sparkling pool.
The owners also opened a farm stall and restaurant that guests are welcome to visit. They are situated between Riebeek Kasteel and Hermon on the R46. Breakfast and lunch are served daily from 08:00 until 15:00, closed on Tuesdays. Du Vlei also has a small function venue for special occasions with guests up to 120 people and conferences for 50 people.
Du Vlei is only 75 km from Cape Town, a 1-hour drive from Cape Town International Airport, and a few minutes' drive from several wedding venues and wine/olive estates.
