Description
Duifieklip is a beachfront house located in Hannasbaai, St Helena Bay. The house is situated a stone's throw away from the high water mark. Guests can walk through the garden to the beach.
The house is suitable for groups of up to 6 adults and extra children. It's ideal for families.
The house offers 3 bedrooms that are furnished with double beds and 4 bathrooms. The main and the second bedroom (on the top floor) each have an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The third bedroom (on the ground floor) is also an en-suite with a bathtub and there is a shower in the guest toilet.
There is also 2 extra single beds in the annex next to the TV room on the top floor.
The open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with a gas stove, an electric oven, a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, a Nespresso coffee machine, a dishwasher, pots and pans, cutlery and other kitchen utensils.
A washing machine, tumble dryer and an additional fridge is in the garage.
There is an 8 KVA inverter and 10 KVA batteries to lessen the impact of loadshedding.
Guests can enjoy their meals in the dining area that links with the living area. The living area leads out onto a verandah with a built-in braai and an outdoor patio set. From the veranda, various bird species can be observed in the indigenous garden, as well as along the beach. The fortunate may even see dolphins, whales, and seals from the house.
The birds (more than 90 species) in the immediate area include a variety of Cormorants (3 general species) and Terns (at least 4 species), numerous Oystercatchers, and summer visitors. There are also many field birds in the garden, of which there are 5 species of Larks in "Hannasbaai-koppies" behind the house.
Guests have access to a premium DStv package (Explora), Netflix and unlimited internet.
The house's extraordinary setting offers access to the beach, pools and rocks, and is exceptionally child-friendly! It is the ideal family setting.
Unfortunately Duifieklip is not pet-friendly, but requests will be considered.
There are numerous restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Guests can buy groceries at Spar, about 1 km away. Guests should try the fish and chips at the BP Marine at the harbour or breakfast at the Seester Restaurant at the Palm Center is not be missed.
The area and the calm waters are suitable for sea-kayaking, walking, birdwatching, hiking, jogging, fishing, swimming, diving, sailing, and mountain biking. Or visit Velddrif's fish biltong business, where there's also local restaurants, boat trips on the Berg River, or fossil park on the Hopefield road.
