Thoroughly peaceful setting with comfortable accommodation.

I booked a river view unit and was very pleased with the tranquil setting. There were two reasons for booking at Egweni 1. WiFi 2. The larger units seem to have tables that I could work from. When I arrived neither were present; however the staff made a plan - they brought me a desk and chair, and provided me with a room to access the WiFi for work as needed. Minor maintenance issues / queries were also attended to promptly. The accommodation is basic but comfortable and I had really good restful night's sleeps with the sound of the Vaal in the background.

Very disappointing.

The photos on the website are very deceiving. Terrible accommodation. Couldn't shower in our unit, either piping hot or ice cold, no in between, tiny bed, takes 10 flushes of the toilet to finally clear the bowl, bathroom light wasn't working on arrival, no milk or Cremora in the room, had to ask for toilet paper. Poor lady at reception trying her best but there wasn't anything she could do to fix the shower etc. Our front door opened onto the parking lot, no privacy if the door was open, no patio or outside seating area. Different size rooms for the same price, wasn't fair. There should be clearer understanding of what you're getting when you book. We really did not enjoy our stay at all. Won't be back or recommend.

Ons het n wonderlike naweek by Egweni gehad. Hulle restaurant het die lekkerste kos teen bilike pryse. Selfs die kroeg is baie mooi. Alles was net perfek. Ons het ook ’n piekniekmandjie bespreek.
