Description
Eventide Guesthouse is a retreat-style, self-catering guest house, situated in a beautiful mature and leafy garden in Durbanville. The property is ideally situated 1.6 km from the popular Village Square, and offers access to numerous Durbanville restaurants and wine estates.
Comfortable accommodation is offered in a garden apartment. The apartment comprises a bedroom with a king-size bed, a separate bathroom with a shower and toilet, and an open-plan kitchenette, living and dining area. Extra mattresses can be provided for children.
The open-plan living area has a view onto the leafy garden and adjacent terrace. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, induction plate, microwave, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster, and dishwasher. The living area leads onto a terrace, which is an undercover lounge area. This is an ideal spot to sit and admire the bird life in the garden. Portable braai facilities can be provided on request.
There is a swimming pool in the garden, which is available at pre-requested and agreed times with the owner. Eventide is also home to My Clear Intention, which offers pilates with mats and machines, Yamuna body rolling, massage and podiatry. Sessions can be booked in advance.
For those wishing to visit the beach, Melkbosstrand and Bloubergstrand are within 30 km, a half hour drive. As is the town of Stellenbosch and Cape Town CBD.
Schoongezight is a safe neighbourhood, with a very active neighbourhood watch, which includes patrols day and night, and communication links between all the security companies in the area. There are licence recognition cameras at all entry points, and further cameras that record anyone on foot. Licence plate checks are done on vehicles and anything suspicious is picked up in seconds. Eventide itself has a radio which links directly with the neighbourhood control room, where we support the neighbourhood by reporting anything suspicious, and where help is immediately at hand. A telephone number is provided to guests, should they need to report anything untoward, or need security assistance. One can feel secure in knowing that property is gated and in a safe and well monitored area.
