Fairview Cottages offers comfortable, self-catering accommodation in the small village of Clarens, and is within walking distance of various shops and restaurants. Clarens is situated in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains - three ranges of mountains that are older than the Alps - and is in close proximity to Golden Gate National Park.

Accommodation is offered in 3 charming, self-catering cottages namely Garden View, Titanic View, and Eagle's View. All units comprise of a double bed, en-suite bathroom, dining area, and a kitchenette that is equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, stove, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. In-room amenities include a TV with selected DStv channels and a DVD player with a selection of movies. Electric blankets, bed linen, and bath towels are also provided. Outside, guests have access to secure parking.

The village of Clarens is known as the 'Jewel of the Free State', due to its natural beauty. The town is situated in a conservancy and boasts amazing walks to the summits of the sandstone mountains, which provide breath-taking vistas of the town, the Maluti ranges and the undulating fields of wheat and maize.

The town is also known for its art route, a variety of quaint shops, craft beer, and restaurants. The old sandstone buildings add to the authenticity of the village. Clarens has become the ideal getaway for city dwellers from Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, and Durban, as these cities are all approximately 300 km away.

Fairview Cottages is ideally located to access the shops, restaurants, art studios, local churches, and nature walks on foot. The closest restaurant is three doors away, while the river walk starts 40m from the front gate.
