Fisherhaven Travellers Lodge is near the Bot River estuary in Fisherhaven and centrally situated to explore many of the Overberg attractions. This small tranquil area is on the whale coast route, a suburb of the famous whale-watching town, Hermanus. Fisherhaven is privileged to be the home of a herd of wild Rooisand horses. The only wild wetland horses in South Africa. We are 92 kilometres from Cape Town Airport and 11 kilometres west of the centre of Hermanus.

There are a total of 4 non-smoking rooms. All rooms are situated upstairs. The N1 and N2 ensuite rooms have a double bed with (an electric warmer blanket in winter months )and a single bed, shower, toilet and basin, a wall panel heater and a standing fan, TV - Full DStv channels, mini fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

The R43 en-suite has a double bed with two bedside tables, a table, a mirror, a cupboard, and an en-suite shower. This unit has direct access to downstairs guest kitchen/lounge.

The Family Suite unit has two rooms: Room one has a double bed with (an electric warmer blanket in winter months), flat screen TV and USB port - full DStv channels, fan, heater, hair dryer, mini fridge and a tea and coffee making facility. Room two has two single beds. This unit has a bathroom with a corner bath/shower and basin and another room with a toilet and basin.

The lodge offers value accommodation including free WiFi, secure, onsite parking, a shaded garden and sitting areas, an indoor swimming pool, indoor braai facility available up until 22:00.

All our guests have access to the guest lounge with comfortable sofas, a fully equipped kitchen with a toaster, kettle, fridge, an induction heating plate, microwave, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery and a six-seat dining table.

To coincide with the peaceful ambience of the area we regret that we do not allow visitors (non-paying guests) or accommodate large group bookings, or any form of parties and operate according to the municipal by-laws of the Overstrand municipality.

There are many places to visit and things to do in and around the Overberg: whale watching, shark cage diving, wine tasting, bird watching, horse riding, trail running, mountain cycling, fat bike riding, wind kite surfing, kayaking, adventure tours and hiking. There are interesting rock pools and good swimming spots nearby with endless sandy beaches: Grotto Beach, Voëlklip, Onrus, Sandbaai, and Kleinmond Beach. A visit to the nearby Botanical Gardens and Penguin colony at Stony Point in Bettys Bay.
