Quaint stay.

The accommodation is quaint, clean and close to the main road so it was nice to be in a quiet location. We were however very disappointed as we had looked forward to a room with a fireplace as seen on the photos, however on the day we were due to book in we were advised that the firplace would be closed off due to bees nesting in the fireplace. We do agree with having them leave naturally, however, this was communicated very last minute and I cannot believe that this is a problem that suddenly occurs. The owner had also stated that bees are a 'problem on that side of town' which leads me to believe that they were well aware of the issue and just failed to communicate this for fear of losing a booking. The owners had tried to accommodate us by moving us to another room with a functioning fireplace the following evening which was a kind gesture however the disappointment had already left a bad taste in our mouths. We had not been delivered what was promised which was sadly disappointing.

Beautiful place but would not go back.

As much as I want to say that I would go back, there were just too many things that went wrong, Jacqui was great and responsive but it's too little too late, the listing is premium and was sub-par at best. We were 4 couples that rented different rooms so we had access to upstairs and downstairs. 1. No knives and plates in a self-catering unit. Had to request it (which was provided the following day after notifying management). 2.
