Gateside Guesthouse is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Hilton Village, only 10 km from Pietermaritzburg's city centre and midway between the Drakensberg mountains and the KwaZulu-Natal beaches.

Accommodation comprises 9 units, suited to accommodate up to 30 guests in total. All rooms come equipped with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, DStv or Netflix, electric blankets, heaters, fans or air-conditioning, tea- and coffee-making facilities, ironing facilities, microwave, bar fridge, toaster, crockery, and cutlery.

Family self-catered units have their own lounge, dining, and kitchenette area enabling both bed and breakfast and self-catering options. Guests also have access to a free Wi-Fi internet connection.
