Description

Located on a 4 000-hectare game farm with lots of game and beautiful scenery, Goudrivier Wildoord offers guests comfortably furnished self-catering accommodation.

The resort offers guests a choice of units that can accommodate up to 4 people, and comprises 2 bedrooms furnished with twin beds, 1 bathroom with a bath and shower, and for convenience, linen and bath towels are provided, as well as a daily cleaning service.

Each unit has a kitchen that is equipped for self-catering with a 2-plate stove and oven, a microwave, as well as a fridge, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. The units open onto a stoep with braai facilities, and offers lovely views of the surrounds.

Guests have access to the communal swimming pool, central lapas which are available for group functions, as well as a recreation hall with a TV with DStv, table tennis, a pool table, and a dartboard. A conference room can also be booked for guests to use, and the resort has a tuck shop.

Activities at the resort include mountain biking, and hiking, and game drives are available at extremely reasonable rates, and during the game drive. One one of these game drive, guests will visit Goudrivier’s very special rock art, and is described by Dr WH Smith from Wits, as the best-preserved bushman drawings in the Waterberg. Self game driving is unfortunately not allowed.

The various dams at Goudrivier Wildoord are home to beautiful wild birds, and fishing, on a catch and release basis, is a favourite pastime for many fishermen. Pedal boats are also available and will keep children and adults entertained.
