Perfect long weekend getaway.

Lovely, well-run lodge with extremely attentive hosts. Thank you Jane and Wimpie for catering to our every need. Beautiful surroundings. Lots of wildlife. Plenty to keep us busy. Hiking, trail running, fishing, birding. And a well-equipped games room. Lovely big pool to cool down in. Big TV to watch the sport. Chalets basic, but clean and well-equipped. Generator was used during load shedding. This is a return to the lodge. My only negative would be that some of the mattresses should be changed.

What a wonderful place so deep in the woods. Very friendly management and incredibly helpful and available anytime if we need anything. Most beautiful swimming pool with a view over the dam. The pedal boat was great fun and at least we caught a fish. There are a lot of water lilies that pretty much take over the pond so we moved in significantly more lily pads and stuck a lot. I would recommend the game drive for sure. It was an experience and we really enjoyed it. The snack is a plus. Something of everything. It would be great if the WiFi could be up to the pool area. There is wood for sale at the Snoepie and it made for a nice fire. We will definitely visit again and bring more people with us.
