Grootvalleij Farm Accommodation - Oom Gideon se Huis is a lovingly restored self-catering farmhouse located on a working sheep farm, Grootvalleij, just 18 km outside of the small town of Kamieskroon. The farm is well-known for its wildflowers and enjoys close proximity to the skilpad section of the Namaqua National Park via a 4 km private road.
Oom Gideon se Huis can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious open-plan dining and living area, and a large patio overlooking the farm.
The first bedroom contains a double bed and a semi open-plan en suite with shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The second bedroom contains a double bed and the third bedroom contains 2 single beds. The second bathroom contains a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. A seventh guest can be accommodated on a mattress, on request.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes a microwave, kettle, fridge, stove and oven, and a 6-seater dining table and chairs. The dining room contains a second 6-seater wooden dining table and chairs. The cosy lounge area features an indoor braai. The large covered patio offers an outdoor couch, and a 6-seater outdoor dining table and chairs.
The house is ideal for family outings or groups of friends travelling together; the farm offers plenty of space for hiking and biking, or even just getting away and sitting on the patio with a book.
