Haaskraal Gastehuis

Friendly, safe, comfortable.

Our 3-week stay at Haaskraal Gastehuis has exceeded our expectations. Lourika and Adrian are super friendly people and they have made us feel at home from day one. The house is fantastic and very comfortable. Being relatively close to the farm activity is very nice and informative. The area is very safe and great for walking. Wellington is nearby for shopping (and swimming in the municipal pool), and also Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are a maximum 40-minute drive. Haaskraal is a great location to relax.

Ongelooflik lekker ons kom tot rus en gesels en speel saam plek.

Ons het dit baie geniet. Ons is een gesin van oma, volwasse kinders met hulle klein kinders. Die stoep en die uitsig is fantasties. Ook al is hierdie een 'working farm', die stilte en jy is iewers in een baie mooi stukkie van die land gevoel is groot. Die stoep is fantasties vir heerlike kuiers, spelletjies met die klein kinders. Die hekkies hou hulle na aan die pragtige groot huis wat met smaak is ingerig. Ek is jaloers op sommige items. Goed gevulde kombuis en die lang tafel by die binnebraai nooi een mens uit om saam te sit en lekker te gesels. Ons het ons Sinterklaas naweek baie geniet en eintlik is 2 nagte te min. Ons sal seker weer moet kom. Ons uitstappie naar een wynhuis in Wellington (Bosman) was vir elk van ons een fees! Dankie en gaan so aan, julle bied een pragtige bly plek aan.

Het elke oomblik geniet en soos regte gaste gevoel.

Absoluut alles is in plek om die verblyf tops te maak.

An excellent stay!

Lourika was extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The house is very well equipped and an absolute gem with the best sunrise from the stoep. Beautiful and peaceful farm surroundings. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Haaskraal Guesthouse.

We had an exceptional stay.

Visiting with my sister and Haaskraal was a haven for us. We were safe and warm in stunning surroundings. Loreka and Adrian were so caring and attentive, I don't think one minor detail was left unattended. Load shedding was no problem and the security was amazing. Very sad to leave. Great location and olive oil as well!

Three nights and days in luxury for three retired couples.

The huge farmhouse is roomy, with all facilities and more. We enjoyed the view from the wide veranda, braai in the dining room, made a snug fire in the lounge at night, played bridge next to the pool, and took bracing walks around the farm. Laurika made us very welcome and went out of her way to accommodate our needs. Although rated as three stars it feels like five. Battery lights were provided in all rooms for load shedding but Wi-Fi is then not available.

An absolute gem!

Haaskraal is more than a guesthouse, it's an experience. The house is absolutely beautiful, the photos don't really do it justice. The house was spotlessly clean and so well-equipped with many thoughtful touches. Lourika was an excellent host who made us feel so welcome. Her warmth and generosity of spirit made the stay extra special. Our children absolutely loved feeding the resident chickens and exploring the farm. If you're in need of some respite from the city, Haaskraal is the perfect place to recharge. Fresh morning walks, lazy days at the pool and sundowners on the best porch were exactly what the doctor ordered. We'll be back again, and again!

Baie baie lekker plek om te bly. Daar is aan alles gedink en niks is afgeskeep nie. Ons het werklik ons naweek daar geniet.

Baie goeie verblyf. Dit is 'n top-opsie op julle lys.

Beautiful farm house for a peaceful country side retreat.

The house has been beautifully renovated and furnished. There was everything we needed and more in the kitchen and bathrooms. The front stoep opens to beautiful views. Louwrika was so friendly and helpful. The kids really enjoyed the farm, feeding the chicken and alpacas and visiting the Nguni cows.

Heerlike ou plaashuis.

'n Heerlike ruim ou plaashuis met groot kamers. Die eienaars het baie moeite gedoen met die ouwêreldse dekor en die kombuis is toegerus met alles waaraan jy kan dink. Die stoep is 'n lekker kuierplek, en so ook die binnebraai met die lang tafel. Ons het die wynkelder baie geniet, en ook die pragtige skaakstel en baie boeke deur die hele huis. Die hoenders en honde het ook vir baie vermaak gesorg. Let wel die derde slaapkamer kan net vanaf die stoep bereik word.
