Description

Hakuna Matata Boutique Game Farm is a working farm situated about 10km northwest from Great Brakriver in the Western Cape. This town is halfway between George and Mossel Bay on the N2. Here you will find the best of both worlds; waking up with nature sounds, a lion's roar, farm-fresh air and beautiful mountain views where sea, sand and the busy beach holiday feeling is just 20 minutes away.

The accommodation comprises of 3 Farm cottages of which cottages 1 and 2 sleep 4 guests and cottage 3 sleeps 6.

The standard farm cottage comprises a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The open-plan living area features an indoor braai, kitchenette and a lounge with a double sleeper couch.

Luxury Queen Cottage comprises 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It boasts a private covered braai, outdoor shower and wood-fired hot tub on the stoep. The master bedroom features a luxurious bath with a view. The en-suite bedroom comprises a queen-size bed and the second bedroom features 2 single beds and is ideal for children. The open-plan living area includes a kitchen with a fridge/freezer, gas stove, dishwasher and airfryer and a lounge. Cottage 1 and 2 have a private deck and guests can make use of the communal lapa and braai area.

Deluxe Birdsong Cottage comprises 2 bedrooms of which the main bedroom has a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has 3 single beds and utilizes a separate bathroom that has a shower. The open-plan living area includes a kitchenette, dining area and a single bed in the lounge. The cottage has a wood-fired hot tub and a private undercover braai area on the stoep.

Guests are to be reminded that there is no TV or radio and cell phone coverage is limited. We do experience load shedding but have gas stoves and battery lamps in the rooms. We regret no pets are allowed- to avoid unnecessary accidents with our wildlife and to respect other guests.

For the birdwatcher, there is a variety of birds like the Knysna Bush Loerie and Fish Eagle. The farm is home to disease-free buffalo and a variety of buck.
