Description
Hanati Chalets is situated a mere 30-minute drive from Pretoria on the N1 north, located within the Dinokeng Game Reserve where the Big 5, most antelope species and variety of birdlife roam freely. It is an ideal getaway for nature lovers and bird watchers.
The self-catering chalets overlook the forest, are all private and detached from each other with air-conditioning and equipped that guests only need to pack clothes, toiletries and food.
Hanati has accommodation in 7 units of which 3 chalets can accommodate 4 guests in each, and 3 units for 2 guests. Each room has its own bathroom fitted with a shower toilet and basin. The Family Cottage has a spacious bedroom with a queen-size bed, 2 single beds and 1 bathroom. The chalets have a verandah with braai facilities, a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, living area and covered parking at the unit. Units are not serviced for guests' privacy during the stay, therefore, each chalet has its own dishwasher.
The lodge boasts a large, communal swimming pool and games room which is very popular and in the evening. Guests can also relax around a campfire. Volleyball is available for groups. There is also full DStv in 1 of the Lapas.
Upon arrival at 1 of the entrance gates, guests can purchase a self-driving permit that indicates where all the restaurants, picnic areas, shops and other attractions are located. There is also a conservation fee that needs to be paid to the reserve by guests on arrival.
When the 4x4 adventure route is passable, due to elephant activity, self-driving game drives can be arranged. It's only for booked weekend guests at Hanati and at least 2 vehicles.
The resort is secured with an electric fence and remote-controlled gate for added security.
