Die Herberge is a restored Victorian home located in Calvinia. This home is a national monument and was built in Cape Dutch style by Field Cornet A. van Wyk in 1853 and retains it typical Dutch gable and original cedar woodwork.
Accommodation is available in 2 units, both furnished in period furniture of the 1930's, creating familiar surroundings which bring back nostalgic memories of our parents and grandparents. The 2 separate family units that make up the complex are Hantam and Rebunie. Each unit features a self-catering kitchen and a lounge which has a Tv. These units are completely self-reliant, although meals can be supplied at Hantam Huis restaurant at extra cost and prior booking.
