Don't stay at this place - needs attention. Stay in another hotel / place.

We stayed at the Happy Home Woodstock this December and we had booked 2 rooms. We were contacted by the host, and they were amazing in their approach and customer care. They welcomed us and showed us the keys, TV remotes, gates, etc. The rooms were neat and clean; however, the furniture in the rooms is old and of low quality. The beds were okay, but the windows did not lock or close. The kitchen is a disaster. The microwave is rusted (I have pictures), the fridge was frozen solid with ice, going back to the ice age. The stove was sticky, and my wife and I never went into the kitchen after our first few minutes. The area is noisy as it's not far from a main road, and we were promptly awoken by minibus taxis from 5:30, and the screams of the taxi conductor "Cape Town, Cape Town", and who can forget the hooting. There are people wandering opposite and then congregating in the evening to drink and argue. We noticed people sitting at the entrance to the house, and this made my wife extremely uncomfortable as the front door does not lock. I would never stay there ever again. It was rather late that we made bookings for Dec 2023, but for 2024, I will stay away from this place. The host was extremely friendly and assisted with the TV channels, etc., when I called them, and they came out and swapped out the unit. They were there to clean up and made every effort to comfort us. However, it was not enough, and we regret the stay and decided to leave early and stay in a group hotel for the remaining days in CPT.

Ons het die plek net vir oorslaap gebruik teen billike tariewe.

Die verblyf was baie oud, binne was skoon, die braai area was nie skoongemaak nie, so ons kon nie braai nie. Dis goed genoeg as jy net wil slaap vir die aand.

Very pleasant stay.

Happy Home Woodstock is nice and cosy and situated in close proximity to Cape Town CBD. It served our needs perfectly as our belongings were secured while we explored the city. Sindi was very helpful and friendly. The parking is secure and the unit is also well secured. Although the unit needs some upgrades, we would definitely return and recommend Happy Home Woodstock.

Lekker en veilig.

Die diens was van 'n baie hoë gehalte. Dit is ideaal vir die wat 'n plek soek om hulle goedjies te los voor hulle Kaapstad wil gaan verken. Die area is bietjie oud, maar baie mooi. Dink net die wifi password moet aangevra word, want dit word nie net gegee nie.

Pleasant hostess, comfortable stay, overall a pleasant experience.

Stayed a single night for a show in Cape Town and had no issues. Bed was very comfortable.

The stay was very nice. Sindi was very nice and friendly as well. Loved her.

My stay was very pleasant. There was Netflix as well, so I had something to watch. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.

Good value for money.

We didn't spend much time at the unit. Would have appreciated some alternative lighting during load shedding. Beds were comfortable. Bedding clean. Kitchen had all the basics.

Happy Home Woodstock is baie naby aan die waterfront, dit is net op 'n baie besige pad geleë wat raserig is vroeg oggend. Cindy was vriendelik en behulpsaam, dit was 'n baie aangename verblyf.

Baie gerieflike en gemaklike akkommodasie. Die diens was goed gewees.

Dit was lekker om daar te bly. Gemaklike en eenvoudige akkommodasie. Ek sal dit beslis aanbeveel.

Reasonably acceptable.

Negative points: The guest house was not reachable on the cell number supplied when I wanted to make enquiries before we stayed there, and they did not reply on my voice message. The rooms were not very clean, especially the shower (and then they charge you R100 extra for cleaning!). We suspect the cleaning lady was on holiday. There were also no towels and soap, and the linen was suspect. No TV in rooms, only in the lounge. Positive points: the place was in walking distance from Groote Schuur Hospital, where we had to go. Quiet and safe circumstances. Wi-Fi available. The receptionist was there to welcome us when we arrived, and was supportive to recommended alternative, cheaper transport.

Wil eerder niks sê nie, want anders gaan ander mense nie daar boek nie. Die plek kort bietjie aandag. Kaste is stukkend. Ens.

Sal beslis weer gaan.

Was lekker en rustig, het bietjie van die Kaap en bietjie van Woodstock verken.

Ontspannend en rustig.

Had a pleasant stay. Great location which exposed the local culture.

Please do visit. You can on only benefit, really. Just go there. As experience is the best teacher.

Dit was 'n asemrowend tydjie daar.

Could have been better!

Cool location and loved that we had the whole house to ourselves. And loved that the place had a fully equipped kitchen and had DStv (although we were out and about most of the day) and although we were only suppose to book in at 2, Happy Home was accommodating by allowing us to drop our luggage off earlier. Unfortunately the fridge and microwave was not clean and the place had roaches and there was a funny smell in the kitchen was a bit of let down.

Omgewing ongeskik vir verblyf.

Een kamer wat met twee ander gaste gedeel word in een huis is nie geskik vir enige gesin nie. Deel badkamer en kombuis en sitvertrek met TV met goedkoopste kanale. Ek het net een dag van my twee dae vertoef.

A happy home indeed.

Had a great stay. Lovely home. Very friendly owners. Would definitely recommend Happy Home.
