Happy Jackal Guest House offers bed and breakfast accommodation and is situated in Colchester Eastern Cape. The guest house is ideally situated on the banks of the beautiful Sundays River, and a 2 minutes drive from the Addo Elephant National Park, South gate.
Accommodation at Happy Jackal Guest House comprises standard rooms, luxury rooms, triple rooms, and 2 self-catering options. Each room is furnished with a king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom with complimentary soaps. In addition, each room contains a TV with selected DStv channels, a fan, a bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The 3 standard rooms have air-conditioning. Guests may choose from ground-floor rooms opening onto private patios with views of the riverbank or spacious thatched upstairs rooms, each with its own thatched deck. These are all the rooms inside the main lodge and the King room which is 1 minute walk from the main house.
Dinner is a set, 3-course meal with homegrown garden vegetables. The guest house also boasts a solar heated Swimming pool. Management at the guest house can also offer advice or plan and book game drives and safaris on the open game-viewing vehicle, with a qualified game-ranger, and book Sunset river boat trips for guests as well.
Our newly renovated jetty to come and moor your boat on catch a fish (you must have a fishing license), or watch the beautiful different species of birds from our bird hide on the jetty.
If you want to spend time at the beach, you drive 5 minutes from us, pay the entrance fee at Pearson Park Resort, drive along Sundays River while looking at some of the highest sand dunes (sand boarding popular from there) and go for a walk on a private beach with stretches of open sand and beauty.
Happy Jackal Guest House is also situated approximately 44 km from Port Elizabeth International Airport and 90 km from central Grahamstown.
