Description

Hartenbos Private Game Lodge is a privately-owned game farm situated in the malaria-free region of Mossel Bay with a variety of wildlife, offering accommodation, game drives and other bush activities.

Accommodation at Hartenbos Private Game Lodge comprises 2 Villas, 4 Luxury Tents and 2 Family Luxury Tents. Each Villa can accommodate 4 guests and consists of 2 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Each Villa has a small dining area and a kitchenette that contains a microwave, stove, and a fridge. In addition, each Villa has a lounge area that opens onto a private deck.

Each Luxury Tent accommodates a maximum of 2 guests on a queen-size bed, and each tent features an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. In addition, each tent contains basic toiletries, towels, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. These units have a kitchenette that contains a microwave, a fridge, a fan, and a heater. Braai facilities are available to use as well.

The Family Tent can accommodate 4 guests. Bedroom 1 features a queen-size bed and bedroom 2 features 2 single beds. The bathroom is fitted with shower, bath, basin and toilet. The kitchenette is fully equipped with stove, microwave and fridge. Braai facilities available.

The lodge has a dining room in the main building, where delicious meals are served and guests can enjoy various beverages at the bar. The main building of the lodge also offers free Wi-Fi, four communal lounge areas with flat screen TVs, a game room with a pool table, billiards, table tennis table, and darts facilities.

There is also an outdoor swimming pool, a boma area, and a sundowner deck where guests can relax and enjoy an ice-cold drink/cold drink from our bar whilst enjoying the peace and quiet of the farm, surrounded by evergreen Fynbos, animals, birds and breath-taking views of the hills and valleys all the way to the Outeniqua Mountains. For the corporate guest, the lodge offers a venue for either conferencing, functions or wedding receptions. Parking is available for vehicles on-site. Guests are spoilt for choice with a variety of fun activities offered at the lodge, such as game drives and bush picnics.

The farm is rich in fynbos and home to plenty of species of game including Buffalo, Giraffe, Eland, Golden Wildebees and Zebra. There is 25+ species of antelope, one of which is the famous springbok. Smaller predators that thrive in their natural habitat include black-backed jackal, caracal, bat-eared fox and civet.
