This is definitely the poorest place we have ever encountered. The pictures are a lie and the place is definitely not worth R200 a night. Everything was in a bad condition and very neglected. At this price, much better is expected. When we got clear signs of mouse remains in the daybed it was just too much for us. My wife and son refused to sleep there, but by then there were no sign of the owner or her staff. We lost R2 400.

I am very sorry that the guest was unsatisfied and unfortunately I have to respond as such. Firstly, the guest had booked for the previous week and when I called to ask what time he would be arriving, his response was: " Oh I am sorry I thought it was for next weekend, you know what it is like when you get old". I very kindly allowed him to change to the following week. This was at my expense, as I had other customers for the unit whom I was unable to help, and even though I tried to call them after he stated that he was not arriving, they had found alternative accommodation.
The photos are exactly as per our pictures on the site. We do, however, have 2 sets of linen so this is sometimes different.
Unfortunately, gheko droppings is sometimes confused with rat droppings, as in this case.
As soon as my staff called me to tell me that the guest was unhappy, I told the staff to show them other units. Unfortunately he was already on his way to Parys as he told the representative that he was going to find accommodation in Parys. When the guest arrived, I explained that my staff would check them in as I was on my way to a meeting in Parys, he was fully aware of this. My staff were on the premises and that is how I found out that he had left. When I called to speak to him, he never took my call. I cut my meeting short and immediately headed back to Heaven. There is only 1 way from Parys to Heaven and I was on the look out for his car so that I could stop and chat to him as he did not answer his phone.
Once again, I am so sorry he had this unhappy experience but I am also sorry that Heaven was not given an opportunity to rectify this at the time.

Accommodation is exceptionally neglected.
Heaven on Vaal would have been the perfect destination if the building (and the area) was maintained and neat. We had water leaks right through the flat. We could not use the patio at all whilst it was raining. The white bedding on the photos, was not in the flat at all. The fitted sheets were torn. The kitchen wasn't properly cleaned and it was covered in flies on arrival. The staff were very helpful with carrying our luggage and the caretaker came to take a look at the leaks. The area where we fished was very neat. I think the price we paid wasn't in proportion to what we got.

Unfortunately we had an incredible amount of rain over this period which was completely unusual. This resulted in the balcony being unusually wet and leaked where this had not happened before. We have 3 sets of linen for each unit and generally this unit shows purple linen on the pics. I will definitely check the linen with the housekeeper as well as the issue with regards to the kitchen as this is not our usual service. As everyone in our area has experienced the fly issue, which is also unusual but perhaps it was due to the excessive rain, we alway spray our units prior to occupation. Again I will check with the housekeeper. I am very sorry that the experience was not good for Debbie & friends but have taken the comments into account to improve where we can.
