Description
Heaven on Vaal is situated on the banks of the Vaal River, a mere hour from Johannesburg. Sit on your patio or take a cruise along the river to experience the bird life, fish jumping out of the water, or Egyptian geese floating by. Retreat to the tranquillity of nature where the cry of the fish eagle wakes you to see the sunrise.
The Cottage Family Unit Family unit sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. It is a 1 bedroom unit with a double bed in the bedroom and a sleeper couch in the open-plan kitchen- and lounge area. The sleeper couch sleeps 1 adult or 2 children These rooms share a bathroom fitted with a bath and shower. This unit is set slightly further back from the river and the other accommodation with a lovely view of the river. A patio and braai area is available.
The Sky and Sunrise units are 2 identical 1 bedroom family units that sleep 4, double bed in bedroom & each with en-suite bathrooms fitted with a bath and shower and an open-plan kitchen and lounge area with 2 single daybeds. These units share a balcony but each unit has its own braai.
The Lavender Unit is another of our family units, but is also suitable for 2 couples with their own privacy. This unit has 2 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom with shower only, an open-plan kitchen- and lounge area with one sleeper couch and a single daybed. One of the bedrooms is fitted with a queen-size bed while the other has a king-size bed. This unit is fully self-catering and can sleep up to 7 people sharing. This unit has a large balcony with braai facility.
The Fisherman’s Delight is suitable for a family of 2 adults and 1 child. It has one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a shower-over-bath, open-plan kitchen-lounge area with a double sleeper couch. The bedroom is fitted with a double bed. This unit has a large balcony with braai facility and is closest to the water's edge. Also on offer, is the Thatch unit, which is also situated right on the water and can sleep 6 guests.
Each kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and 2-plate mini oven. Cutlery, crockery and bedding are supplied. All units have overhead fans and heaters. Please ensure you bring your own milk, food and dish-washing liquid, toilet paper, charcoal and firestarters for your braai. Please bring gas lamps for night fishing and load shedding.
