Description
Olive is a spacious cottage that can accommodate up to 2 guests and comprises 1 bedroom, 2 small bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchenette and living area. The bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The kitchenette is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, fridge, microwave kettle and toaster. The living area contains an L-shaped couch, a fireplace, TV, and a 2-seater dining table. Off the lounge is the second bathroom with a bath and a washbasin. The living area opens to a covered deck with outdoor dining furniture, sun loungers, braai facilities, and an outdoor wood-fired hot tub.

Rates displayed are on a self-catering basis and linen and towels are provided. A Nespresso machine, coffee, tea, and cleaning materials are provided.
House Rules
- Please note that there is a gravel road leading to the accommodation. Guests are required to enquire from the establishment about the condition of the gravel road before booking.
There are 3 resident dogs (2 vizlas and 1 schnauzer) that will probably be the first to greet you. Don't be worried, they get excited but are harmless.
- There is a 10mb Wi-Fi line with coverage to all the cottages most of the time.
- It is preferable to bring your own wood – particularly to braai with, however we do sell extra firewood at R60 per bag.
- The cottages all have TVs but there is no DStv. Bring an HDMI cable and use the screen to stream from your phone or Android box using the free Wi-Fi. Gatehouse also has a DVD player, bring kids DVD’s if you need to.
- No pets permitted.
- We don’t allow loud music and encourage guests to enjoy the sounds of nature. There are many frogs, crickets, owls and other creatures that make enough noise at night.
Child Policy:
- Children aged between 0 and 18 pay 100% of the sharing rate.
- 2 camping cots and a high chair are available on request.
- There are wonderful open spaces for children to run free but younger children need to be supervised at all times. There are unfenced dams and swimming pools and the wood-fired hot tubs present the risk of drowning and burns to small children. Kids must wear shoes when walking in the Fynbos (highly advisable for adults too). Hemel en Aarde Cottages will not take any responsibility for any accidents that occur through a lack of parental supervision.

The Gatehouse can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed and an open-plan en suite with a bath, a washbasin and an enclosed toilet. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and a smaller interleading room with a bunk bed, ideal for 2 children. This room has a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, and toaster. The comfy lounge offers seating and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. The living area opens to a spacious partially covered deck with outdoor dining furniture, seating, sun loungers, a built-in braai facility, and a nice, deep outdoor wood-fired hot tub.

Strelitzia was the original Milking Shed before it was repurposed with its double volume stone fireplace and an authentic farm kitchen. Strelitzia can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen and living area. The first and second bedrooms are downstairs and each contain a king-size bed. These 2 rooms share a bathroom with a bath and a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The third bedroom is an upstairs loft room that contains a king-size bed that can be converted to 2 single beds, and an en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove and oven, mkettle, toaster, microwave, and a dishwasher. There is also a breakfast bar with stools. The lounge contains comfortable seating, a TV, and a stone fireplace. 1 basket of firewood is provided. Outside, there is a large wraparound balcony with couches, sun loungers, a 6-seater yellowwood dining table, and a built-in braai looking onto an outdoor wood-fired hot tub.
