Description

Hillcrest Lodge Tents is situated in the beautiful Garden Route, 6.9 km outside the town of Plettenberg Bay. Guests can enjoy a lovely rural setting, while having the convenience of being close to town and attractions in the area.

Accommodation is offered in 2 unique tents, Nelanga and Sandstone. Each structured tent is raised from the ground, and offers its own deck and a bathroom leading to its own fully lit outdoor shower. Each tent is simply but stylishly furnished, and is equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities and a small fridge. Guests have access to the lapa and fire pit and braai area on site. There is also a jungle gym, slide, swings and a sand pit especially for the kids.

There is no cleaning or turn-down service while guests are in residence, but if guests would like to include this option, an additional fee will occur. This can be arranged at the time of booking. Due to the material involved in the structure of the tent, which is canvas and wood, there is a strict no-smoking and no pets policy in place. Guests are able to smoke at the fire pit and braai area on site. In order to take full advantage of the rustic and peaceful environment of the tents, there is no Wi-Fi or TV in the tents.

The property is directly adjacent to the local aerodrome, and therefore there may be the occasional sky diving plane and aircraft taking off and landing. However, there are no night flights. During peak holiday times there may be more frequent aircraft traffic and the occasional early flight.

The surrounding area offers a variety of activities and attractions for guests to enjoy, such as sky diving, glider flights, Robberg Nature Reserve, beautiful beaches, restaurants, shops, bike trails, Radical Raptors, Garden Route Wolf Sanctuary, a Saturday market, vineyards, golf courses, The Crags, Monkeyland and Birds of Eden, Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary, Nature’s Valley, and Tsitsikamma National Park.
