Description

House on the Canal is a self-catering holiday home located in Cape St Francis, a little village on the Eastern Cape coastline, known for being one of the best-surfing destinations in the world. It is a popular tourist attraction due to its white, sandy beaches, nature reserves, and a variety of attractions such as the Seal Point Lighthouse and the Penguin Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre.

The house can accommodate up to 12 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, plus an upstairs TV room come pajama lounge which has two queen beds side by side, an open-plan kitchen and a spacious living space. The bedroom downstairs contains a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The remaining 3 bedrooms are upstairs, along with the TV lounge. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and a balcony overlooking the canals. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower and a big bath. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed and an en-suite shower. The last bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and a bathroom just next to this bedroom fitted with a shower. This bedroom has a small north facing balcony. These rooms open out into the TV lounge which has 2 queen-size beds, a large couch and an ottoman.

Then we have added a new sunroom that comes off the TV lounge. This has balconies either side one with two sun loungers.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a gas hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. There is also a breakfast bar with stools. The dining area has seating space for 12 people, while the lounge has a comfy lounge suite. Sliding doors lead out to the garden overlooking the canal. There is an indoor bar and braai area.

You will find yourself right on the water with your own private jetty and a small beach. Folding, stacking glass doors open up to the canals. Across the road, and a short distance down a quaint footpath, is the beautiful Kromm River, offering white sand and calm water. Here you will frequently see and hear the many fish eagles residing in the tall trees on the banks across the river.
