Cheap accommodation in Margate.

We were accommodated and upgraded for free, which was very nice. Unfortunately, the manager's attitude didn't reflect the same. We felt like an inconvenience rather than a welcomed guest. Daisy, the housekeeper, was adorable and just about the only positive part of the accommodation. Website offers meals, but on arrival we were told that meals were not an option due to loadshedding.

Kindly note that when your booking was made, it was for 2 adults - and yes though your room was upgraded for free, it would be nice to be notified of extra guests (like children).

Secondly, the guesthouse is exactly what it is, a guesthouse - it was made clear on arrival that the kitchen was not for guests use, yet - you entered and made yourself handy, although being informed where the cutlery, plates and glasses are to be found for guests to be used freely. You had our contact details and nothing stopped you from asking for assistance from either Sally or Daisy, before just doing as you pleased.

What meals are concerned - the website offers meals on request (which still remains our discretion as to weather we are going to serve or not - especially with the current loadshedding schedules which I think is understandable).

We booked for 8 people which was 2 rooms allocated for us, unfortunately, we were 7 but we had already paid the full amount for 8 people.

We asked if our male driver can get his own room as we paid and he wouldn't sleep amongst the females. So we had to make amends for ourselves and squeeze the 6 of us in 1 room then leave him with the other room.

To be fair, rooms were allocated as booked by you. Provision was not made for your driver before check-in. We were only notified of his accommodation on arrival.

Wonderlike plekkie.

Die gaste wat ons ingeboek het was absoluut gaande oor die plekkie. Hulle asems was weggeslaan. Kyk gerus op Hoezitsamelewing se facebookblad na sy wonderlike post oor hierdie plekkie waar ons hom geboek het. Sal dit beslis aanbeveel.

It was good, will definitely recommend.

The place is lovely and clean. Nice view, quiet and very good place to relax. Also safe for small kids and I like the setting just outside your room which is so cozy and nice to relax.
