Jembisa Bush Home is a beautiful, classic safari house, located within its own private game reserve in the heart of the beautiful Waterberg Plateau, in the northern Limpopo Province of South Africa. The safari adventure offering is flexible, tailor-made with many, many safari activities on offer to suit all ages. The reserve is a beautiful un-spoilt wilderness of rivers, cliffs, and open savanna that has been preserved through careful conservation management.
Jembisa is beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable with 5 light and airy rooms with en-suite bedrooms and a children’s bunkroom. The total capacity of Jembisa is 12 adults and 4 children. Each room sleeps 2 guests and has en-suite bathrooms. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden with lots of lawn and shady trees with a swimming pool, floodlit tennis court, bush -croquet lawn, and trampoline. All ground floor rooms open onto a wide, shaded verandah.
There is a wide range of activities to suit all ages and interests, including day and night game drives, guided bush walks, wildlife camera trap setting, bird watching, campouts under the stars, mountain biking, teen tracker programs, swimming, fishing, visits to Bushman painting and Iron Age sites on the reserve and massage treatments for those looking for more relaxation. We also offer interesting activities nearby such as safari horseback riding, big 5 game drives, safari golf, shopping at African curio art shops, adventurous zip-lining, and cultural tours.
The landscape provides a wide variety of habitats, resulting in a high diversity of animal and plant species. The reserve offers 69 animal species and 270 bird species. Night drives are a favorite where guests can search for the more elusive nocturnal animals such as bushbabies, porcupines, aardvark, caracals, leopards, and brown hyenas. Monkeys, banded mongoose, and tortoises are frequent visitors to the garden
Jembisa lends itself perfectly as a romantic safari destination wedding venue. Weddings of any size can be arranged up to a maximum of 45 guests.
