Description
Karusa Farm Cottage is located in the heart of the Cango Valley on the Vogelsang Farm in Schoemanshoek. Vogelsang Farm is home to the Karusa Estate and is situated en route to the renowned Cango Caves from Oudtshoorn.
The cottage offers spectacular mountain and landscape views between the vineyards and orchards. It is ideal for a simple, peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage has a minimum power supply which is mainly for the lights.
The cottage has an open-plan layout that comprises a sleeping area, a kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom. The sleeping area is furnished with a queen-size bed and the bathroom is fitted with a gas geyser, a shower, a basin, and a toilet.
The kitchen is equipped with 2-plate gas stove, freezer-fridge, cutlery, crockery, and other essential necessities. There is also an indoor braai, dining area, and lounge with comfortable seating. The patio features outdoor furniture as well as a portable braai and leads to the lawn that extends up to the muscadelle vineyard, ideal for stargazing on summer evenings.
Activities on the farm include a 6 km hiking trail through the vineyards, a 26 km mountain bike trail on the back roads of Schoemanshoek and a picnic basket is available on request.
Within a short distance of the cottage is a warehouse packed with export quality drupe, a wine cellar which produces Mediterranean wines as well as its own MCC; as well a restaurant known for its pizza and tapas menu.
