Katrinasrust Country Estate offers self-catering cottages and is located on a private trout farm situated approximately 35 km from eNtokozweni (Machadodorp). The guest farm is ideal for guests wanting to escape to the country for some peace and quiet.
Accommodation at Katrinasrust Country Estate offers 3 individually decorated cottages, which can accommodate between 2 and 12 persons.
The Nightjar Cottage can accommodate 2 adults, and is a unique unit featuring a dome-shaped, en-suite bedroom attached to the cottage. The open-plan kitchenette and living area are located in the cottage. There is a deck that links the bedroom dome and cottage, which boasts a KolKol wood-fired hot tub and braai facilities.
The Oaks Cottage is the original fishing cottage located beside ancient oak trees, and can accommodate up to 10 guests. This home consists of 4 bedrooms, a bathroom, a guest toilet, and a guest shower room. The main bedroom is air-conditioned and is furnished with a king-size bed, the second bedroom is air-conditioned and has a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds, the third bedroom has a queen-size bed fitted with an electric blanket, and the fourth bedroom is air-conditioned and has 2 bunk beds for 4 kids.
Wisteria Cottage is located in the beautiful English-inspired gardens, and can accommodate up to 12 guests. This farmhouse comprises 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a living and dining area, and a well-equipped farm-style kitchen to prepare and cook meals in. This home boasts a spacious mud room with fishing and outdoor gear, and a Mediterranean-themed courtyard with a fire pit, a braai area and a pizza oven. There is even a vegetable garden where guests can pick fresh seasonal produce.
Guests are welcome to take leisure walks or hikes on the farm, fish in one of the dams or the river nearby, or go bird watching or mountain biking. The estate also has bee farms, and many fantastic picnic spots for guests to visit during their stay at Katrinasrust Country Estate.
